Coming up – the Eden Whale Festival kicks off on Friday the 30th of October and finishes up on Sunday the 1st of November 2015.
It’s whale watching season on the Far South Coast and the oceanic migration of the Humpback Whales is a natural event like no other.
The whales have been migrating for centuries and the townspeople of Eden and the Far South Coast rally together to celebrate it with art, street theatre, music, feasting from the bounty of the sea and soil as well as whale watching.
It’s possibly the best place in the world to watch the whales migrate. An experience that has been ranked by Australian Geographic in 2014 as the best destination for whale watching in Australia.
Visitors flock to Twofold Bay to head out on a boat, pack the shore with picnics of fine local produce.
The Eden Whale Festival is going to be a spectacular street parade as well. Vibrant markets will showcase and sell the best of local food, wine, artwork and there’ll be fantastic educational displays and presentations as well as great children’s entertainment. There will be live music too.
So prepare for the best whale watching experience in Australia in Eden at the end of October.
