When exploring the Far South Coast, you can’t go past a cruise and tour around Twofold Bay in Eden.
Whether it’s whale season or not (winter whale season is coming up!), the cruise offers a spectacular experience. With the backdrop of the dramatic Eden cliffs and shoreline, the expanse of the Bay is magnificent as it stretches outward. All the while, the fascinating history of the region delivered with expert commentary.
If you’re lucky, and many people are, the local sea life will come and greet the boat. The playful bay dolphins love frolicking in the boat’s bow wake and huge and majestic albatross glide above the waves. Fur seals bask in the sun at the rocks near Boyds Tower and of course during the winter months you may see pods of Humpback Whales migrating with their calves.
The cruise leaves Eden harbour at various times throughout the day to explore Twofold Bay counter clockwise, travelling close to the shore so you can see the many items of interest at close range while learning about the fascinating history and legacy of the pioneers who lived here.
The tour ends at Boyds Tower. Enjoy a complimentary tea/coffee and snack while you settle in for the ride back. Prices are around $40 per adult. Well worth it for this incredible experience.
